Publications

Here you’ll find a list of any of my publications – including articles and research.

‘A Little Witch in Waiting’

A book of metaphorical, magical short stories. Beautifully illustrated by Larch Gallagher who brought my little witch to life. It is intended for any age, around 8 years upwards, but adults absolutely love them too!

You can read the book as a complete story, or you can dip into it and read a chapter at random and see what emerges for you.

At the back of the book, there are reflective questions for journaling. Choose to answer after each chapter or at the end of the book.

Alternatively, you can completely ignore them. The intent is to allow yourself to be immersed, contemplative and see what emerges.

‘Your stories touch a heart-space we all share as we journey through life on earth. Thought-provoking and precious. They are a potent thimbleful of the vast human experience expressed with childish wonder’ – Julia Hogan

‘In the grit’ podcast

In this episode, Sam’s guest is Claire Palmer, an experienced executive coach, award-winning supervisor and long-time advocate for the coaching profession. One of the first ICF members in the UK, she went on to serve on the board and as UK ICF Chapter Chair and her contribution to shaping the early definitions of coaching supervision was recognised with a Contribution to Coaching Supervision award from Coaching at Work. She is also the author of A Little Witch in Waiting, a collection of magical, mystical stories.

Benefits of supervision to the coaching industry

A joint project with Dr Lise Lewis (EMCC) and Benita Treanor (AC) established to raise standards and define ethics for coaching supervision. As a result of this paper and project, we were short-listed and highly commended for a Coaching at Work award.
